Jack Lloyd
Jack Lloyd lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife and three girls (that’s correct, dear reader—four against one). He practices law in Raleigh, North Carolina, specializing in predatory lending cases and cases involving the transfer of negotiable instruments (hence the small but well-stocked bar in the corner of his office). Jack has published numerous short stories in regional publications.
Ten Things I Can’t Do Without
- The South of France (the place, the people, the food, and that glorious, glorious juice)
- The Cotswolds (the place, the people—but not so much the food or what they loosely refer
to as “wine,” and yes, they actually claim to make wine; sad really) - Having a glass—or four—of French wine while sitting in my garden (which is really my
wife’s, since she does all the gardening while I enjoy the wine) - The satire of Evelyn Waugh (which I read aloud to my wife as she gardens and I drink)
- Bach
- Arguing in court
- Reading, alone and to my children (and listening to them read to me)
- Writing
- My friends (not a few of whom—they know who they are—caused me to start drinking in
the first place) - Ashley, Avery, Morgan, and Lauren, and the rest of my family
