John Anderson
After growing up in the artistic retreat at Shearwater Pottery, where he was constantly surrounded by larger-than-life heroes that seemed to exist in a mystical realm far beyond his level of comprehension, John Anderson worked as an officer in the navy, a teacher, a national park ranger, a marine biologist/ecologist, and a psychologist–always seeking the Rosetta stone that would allow him to interpret those early experiences. In the past few years, John has been the curator or co-curator for twelve exhibits of his father’s art, has written extensively about his father, and participated in the production of several films on the subject.
