Laura Frankstone
Laura Frankstone is a painter, freelance illustrator, and sporadic writer, with her finger in many pies. She has been a multiyear contributing illustrator to Charleston Style & Design and Walter Magazine, among diverse other publications and websites.
She has exhibited at Chapel Hill’s Somerhill Gallery, the Durham Arts Council, SECCA, the Horace Williams House, the Ackland Museum Store, in Clermont-Ferrand France in an international exhibition of travel sketchbooks, and most recently at the Neil Gallery in Durham.
Her work has been published in several books on the techniques of drawing and sketching.
Frankstone will participate in Under the Canopy: Southern Flowers, Southern Artists, a group show at Tom Stevens Gallery in Hillsborough, opening in July.
