Lynn York
Lynn York is the author of two novels: The Piano Teacher (Plume, 2004) and The Sweet Life (Plume, 2007), a Booksense Notable Book. A graduate of Duke University and the University of Texas at Austin, she is the publisher of Blair, a Durham-based nonprofit press whose mission is to seek out, nurture, and promote literary works by new and underrepresented writers. Lynn lives in Chapel Hill, NC.

Lynn, in 2004 I met you at Miami Book Fair International. That was the first and last time MBFI did a panel/group of Southern authors. POOF — fast forward to 2018 — you were at Greensboro Bound — for which we are very grateful. We imprinted (greatly) on MBFI, but I kept telling people in GSO that even MBFI had gaps … like no groupings of Southern authors/authors knowledgeable of the South. So thanks for coming to Greensboro Bound. I’m dismayed that two month after I’m still learning who all came …. and I’m glad you helped us give birth to this puppy.
