Mary Johnson Rockers
Mary Johnson Rockers is a social worker and performing singer-songwriter. She grew up in Virginia, East Tennessee, Michigan, back to Tennessee again, and then North Carolina where she has lived most of her adult life with occasional travels to Central and South America. She works at the North Carolina Farmworker Health Program providing technical support and training to health outreach programs across the state and is a member of the NC Farmworker Advocacy Network. When not at work, she spends time with her husband, two young boys, and dog Harley at their home in Durham, NC, and plays music around town. Her accomplishments as a musician include the release of four studio albums, solo and together with her band, the Spark.
