Samia Zeitoun
Samia Zeitoun was born and raised in Egypt and studied English Literature at Cairo University but has lived in England and California for extended years. She established one of the first private art galleries in Egypt, Artists Corner, to showcase pioneer and contemporary artworks, jewelry and textiles. Currently, she is Secretary General of the Tree Lovers Association, which advocates, through several programs, for the promotion and protection of Nature in all its forms. Their focus now is preserving urban green spaces from unplanned development and encouraging the public at large to participate in saving their natural and cultural heritage.
Zeitoun is proud to say that she shook hands with two Nobel Prize winners: Naguib Mahfouz and Ahmad Zuweil; as well as Yurri Gagarin, first man in space.
