Sharon Kurtzman
Sharon Kurtzman is Jersey girl who lives in the South. A long time ago, she worked in television marketing and was once the official escort to Danger Mouse at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She has been a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and BetterAfter50, and she has had two fiction pieces nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Her work has appeared in numerous literary journals, including Hippocampus, Cleaver, Crack the Spine, Heartwood Literary Magazine, Every Writer’s Resource: Stories, and the Raleigh News and Observer. Her writing has been anthologized in Main Street Rag’s Voices from the Porch and To Ensnare Time’s Warp, Crack the Spine XII: Best of 2015, and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Writers. She is also a freelance food writer and frequently contributes to INDY Week’s Food section. Sharon is pursuing her MFA in Fiction at Vermont College of Fine Arts and lives in North Carolina with her husband and their sweet dog, Violet.
