David Woodard

Political consultant and author David Woodard has taught politics at Clemson since 1983. He is the author or co-author of seven books, including The New Southern Politics, The America that Reagan Made, Why We Whisper: Losing our Right to Say It’s Wrong and Ronald Reagan: A Biography.  He was campaign manager for Senators Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint, as well as three congressmen in South Carolina. At Clemson, he teaches political theory, political parties, southern politics, politics and film, and American government.
