Hannah Casparian

Hannah Casparian is a chef, a baker, and a registered dietitian. Born to a priest and an artist, Hannah grew up traveling, eating, experiencing, and cooking. At age eleven, she moved from Lexington, KY, to Florence, Italy, with her family, where she happily ate bread and pasta every day. She enjoyed baking for friends and soon began catering to the taste buds of the ex-pat community who longed for American cakes and chocolate chip cookies; a passion and business was born. Hungry to learn more, Hannah returned to the US to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. After graduating with an Associate of Pastry and Baking Arts and Bachelor of Restaurant Business Management, she recognized a calling to nutritional sciences  and returned to school at Long Island University. Now as a registered dietitian with a long list of food job experiences in Austin, TX, including catering, food styling, being executive corporate chef for the start-up UShip, and working with people with eating disorders, Hannah is planning a start-up of her own. Hannah Bakery’s focus will be making delicious, whole grain, thoughtful food and cultivating and baking for a community of fascinating and wonderful people in Austin.
